Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park?  Where do my kids go

We understand the many questions that can come up as you consider visiting a new church.  Below are some answers to some of the more frequently asked questions. Of course, if you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us or speak to one of the clearly marked greeters when you come to visit.

Sunday Morning Services Times

Pineland Baptist Church’s Sunday morning service is at 10:00am. There will be Sunday school at roughly 10:30am when children ages 3 and grade 5 will be dismissed and guided to their classrooms.

Accessibility

Our rear entrance has an elevator making the church fully accessible. Door greeters with visible identification are available to accommodate other special needs.

Guest Information

When you arrive a door greeter will be on hand to greet you. We are not going to call you up to the front or ask you to stand so do not fear. One of our greeters will most likely offer you a connection card, so that we can send you some information about the church if you are willing to fill it in.

What about our kids?

Infants (Ages 3 and below)

There is a nursery for children under 3 which is staffed by vetted volunteers. The room also has a nursing area with an audio stream to the service. Follow the signage from the entrance or ask a door greeter how to get there. Parents are more than welcome to sit in the service with their babies unless they become overly niggly. However, our people are understanding and love to have children worship with us.

Children

We run a Sunday school program for Children (age 3 to grade 5). It is our desire that children be with their parents for as much of the worship as possible, so that they can see the importance their parents place on worshipping God, and to help them feel part of the people of God. During the last song before the sermon (roughly 30min into the service) the children will be dismissed and teachers will be available to help you escort your kids down to the Sunday School area.

Worship

Our service includes Bible reading, praying, preaching, singing, communion and baptisms. We sing traditional and modern hymns as well as contemporary worship songs.

Dress

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you are joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you are wearing. It’s not uncommon to see people wearing jeans or chinos. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best”; and that’s fine too! We think you will fit in no matter how you dress.

Atmosphere

Our worship is joy-filled, our preaching Gospel-centred. We are a friendly, comfortable, and welcoming community.

Giving

If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to give anything.
